Within the monthly theme of Canon Eastern Europe, we were given the task of depicting food up close, in the realm of macro photography. Each week we were to introduce new foods and dishes.

Having in mind that food photography often is macro photography, all we had to do is our ordinary job, right? Well, not quite. Some colors and textures of food look quite different and rather interesting when you take a really close look. That is what we did. We played with light, position and composition to give a fresh perspective to ordinary ingredients such as those found in a simple pasta dish.
